EPOLOCK 6700P: High-Temperature Epoxy Adhesive for Metal Repair and Protection

Overview

EPOLOCK 6700P is a two-component, high-performance epoxy adhesive designed for repairing, rebuilding, and protecting metal components exposed to extreme temperatures and harsh environments. Its unique formulation combines high molecular weight epoxy resins with silicon steel reinforcement, offering exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and durability.

Key Features

  • Superior Temperature Resistance: Withstands high temperatures up to 160°C (post-curing at 150°C).
  • Excellent Adhesion: Bonds strongly to metals (including stainless steel) and glass-fiber composites.
  • Chemical & Abrasion Resistance: Resists acids, alkalis (up to 40% concentration), hydrocarbons, fuels, and oils.
  • Machinable After Curing: Fully cured adhesive can be machined for precision finishing.
  • Long Shelf Life: 2 years when stored in sealed containers at 25°C.

Applications

EPOLOCK 6700P is ideal for:

  • Metal Surface Coating: Prepares surfaces for high-temperature coatings.
  • Equipment Repair: Rebuilds worn machinery parts, valves (butterfly/gate), and heat exchangers.
  • Structural Bonding: Load-bearing joints in industrial and automotive applications.
  • Gap Filling: Levels welds and fills imperfections.

Technical Specifications

Property Value

Usage Instructions

  1. Surface Preparation:
    • Clean surfaces thoroughly; remove rust, oil, and old coatings.
    • Roughen metals via sandblasting/sanding for optimal adhesion.
  2. Mixing: Blend Component A (8 parts) and Component B (1 part) until uniform.
  3. Application: Apply within pot life. Ensure ambient temperature is above 5°C and humidity below 90%.
  4. Curing: Achieves full strength after 24 hours at room temperature. Heat curing enhances HDT.

Safety & Storage

  • Safety Gear: Wear gloves and goggles to avoid skin/eye contact. Rinse with water if exposed.
  • Storage: Keep sealed in original containers at ≤25°C. Avoid contamination.

Why Choose EPOLOCK 6700P?

  • Proven Performance: Comparable to industry-standard adhesives (e.g., 1511).
  • Versatility: Functions as both a structural adhesive and protective coating.
  • Reliability: Long-term resistance to thermal cycling, chemicals, and wear.
